Dearest Reader,

Today’s dump is coming to you live from a woodsy vacation. Adam and I are celebrating his new job, and the dopamine is flowing! Here are some trip-related and non-trip-related highlights:

  1. Summery smells. I’m talking fresh cut grass on my morning walk. Laundry wafting up from dryer vents on the weekends. Chlorine from the neighborhood pool. Sweat-fried sunscreen on tourists walking down the beach. It’s almost summer, people! Smell it! 🧴☀️

  2. Big ol’ trees. As you read this, I’m up in Shaver Lake traipsing through the thick pines of the Sierra National Forest. I’ve always been a tree girl. As a kid, I’d climb up into the cherry tree in our backyard and read for hours. Now I drive five hours to read in the shade of the sequoias. 🏕️
